The Apple Tree
Daughter staring out of the Car window. A boy walks towards the Car with a sad face, tattered dress, trying to ask for something..
Daughter to Dad: Appaji, what is he asking?
Dad: He is asking for money
Daughter: why? Is it because he wants to eat mummum and doesnt have money to buy it?
Dad then reminds her of a bedtime story that he had told her a few days back. Story goes like this...
A boy from a poor family is very hungry one day. He has just one Apple to eat. Hunger continues even after he's had his Apple. The boy goes to his father. Father doesnt have any money to buy him anything else, but gives his son an idea. He asks his son to sow the seed of the Apple and water it daily. The boy sees the plant coming...waters it again...the Apple tree grows...the boy sells the Apples and makes money for his living...and now has lots of money to buy whatever he wants.
Dad to Daughter: So what should this beggar boy do now?
Daughter: He should put a Apple seed and sell the Apples from the tree and then buy mummum instead of asking money from us.
