God's Gift

During Diwali time this year, Ahana & I were having a conversation about her great grandmother having so many children and me having just two. So now that I have set the context, let me tell you what this is all about...
Amma: Baby you should be happy that I stopped with just two children. Imagine what would you have done if I had had 8 kids like Mangalore Doddamma.
Ahana: aiye...how can you say that. It is God's gift. That is why you have only two.
 :-D

A week later, Ahana & her dad were chatting up.

Dad: Baby you have my genes that is why you are so clever.
Ahana: What do you mean?? Amma gave birth to me.
Dad: with a shocked look...I also contributed :-D
Ahana: What do you mean?? It is only amma who gave birth to me. Only she did everything.
Dad: I gave the seed


 Amma came into picture...with eyes open staring at dad...with what are talking look....noooooooo
Ahana: So, what happened with seed? What did mummy do?
Dad: not knowing how to explain further...quickly cut the conversation and said, "We gave the seed to the doctor and the doctor put the seed inside mummy's stomach".
With this Ahana was not quite convinced, but we've promised to take her through a round of education with help of a book.
